30 years of hospitality at The Katy House Bed & Breakfast: this year marks a milestone we’re both honored and humbled to celebrate!

What began in 1994 as a heartfelt vision has become a beloved home away from home for thousands of guests over the years. Nestled in the heart of Smithville, Texas, The Katy House has welcomed travelers from near and far with charm, comfort, and true Southern hospitality. And through it all - changing seasons, new owners, and countless home-cooked breakfasts - the heart of this place has never wavered: service of others through connection and care.

We’ve had the privilege of hearing guests’ stories over morning coffee, hosting anniversaries, weddings, and long-overdue getaways, and watching guests become friends and many friends becoming family. We’ve carried on the legacy of our founders and continued to pour love into every room, every porch rocker, and every plate served with intention.

As we reflect on three decades of warm welcomes, we’re deeply grateful for the Smithville community that surrounds us, the travelers who choose us, and the history that shaped us. Thank you for making The Katy House what it is—not just a place to stay, but a place to be cared for.
